Reader: Rave reviews and only improving
2008-10-02 05:49:14

Today is a page-turning day for Reader fans.

We are proud to announce a new formatting engine for Reader! We have eliminated the extra line breaks and recreated the engine to precisely format your books. Enhancing your reading experience.

The upload size limit has increased from 2MB to 5MB. However, larger files need to be split up and uploaded individually.

The Public Library was a huge hit from the start. In just two months, there have been more than 66,000 books checked out! We will be rewarding all Public Library users with hundreds of new books. To access all the new releases, simply tap on the category "Recently Added," and the latest books will appear.

We would also like to thank everyone who e-mailed us. Your suggestions have been extremely helpful, and we appreciate your constant support.

Thanks! Great to hear. I'm glad you're still working on Reader. It's by far my favorite iPhone app.

Hey. Really hate to seem to ignorant,(yeah, I'm what you might call technologically-challenged, lol) but could someone pls explain to me how the reader works?

I'm on my computer right now, have logged on, and have uploaded some books onto my bookshelf. The question is, how do I get reader onto my iPhone, and how do I access the books on my shelf from my phone?

Thanks a lot.

You're 99% of the way there! Just navigate your iPhone Safari browser to http://reader.dbelement.com, tap the Reader icon and log-in with your username/password

All of your books will be available to you instantly!

I have no books on my shelf, yet when I try to add one, I am told that I have to subscribe to have more than 2 books on my shelf. Any ideas?

@pnaegele

On your iPhone navigate to the book manager in Reader. Your books might be deactivated. They need to be deleted to add additional books

If you continue to have trouble please e-mail us: contact@dbelement.com

@cfking

You can copy/paste any text from your computer into Reader. There is also the option to upload .txt and .pdf files.

Is there a way to change the font size from a pdf file once it is in reader? I tried to change the font before I uploaded it and that did not work either.

At the moment Reader is limited only to your iPhone and iPod Touch

On your computer you can navigate to http://dbelement.com/reader/BookManager to add books to your account
